Notes: An iceboat such as Janice referred to in this Renhai is a homemade wooden form with a sail and smooth runners to glide on the ice. They had so much fun with it and Janice even learned to skate by hanging on to it as it glided across the ice.

Technical Note: This is the first collaborative Renhai in which each verse is like a renku/renga verse in that they are not "cut" as is usual with haiku. This was first done in a solo Renhai (#94):
